Tommy had a good week!
Posted on October 4th, 2008 @ 9:10 pm

Overall Tommy had a really good week at school.  Monday and Tuesday he had all happy faces.  Wednesday he had 2 sad faces but he wasn’t too bad.  Thursday again he had all happy faces.  Friday again was another good day.  He did talk back a bit at the end of the day so he got 2 sad facees for the last 2 activities.  In all not bad though.  I’m really hoping that he keeps it up.

She is standing!
Posted on September 27th, 2008 @ 11:04 pm

Last week Miss Becca figured out how to pull to standing.  Along with this new found skill has also come a lot of bumps.  She has fallen quite a few times this week.  She is getting better at it.  She is now looking to start creeping along the furniture.  My baby girl will be walking in no time!

Kindergarten, 6 months old, and other stuff

Wow!  I hadn’t realized it has been over a month since I last wrote.  I am honestly going to have to start writing more often if only for my own sanity.

First up, Tommy is now in kindergarten.  That in itself has caused some problems.  He started at a new school with a new teacher and new kids.  It was a recipe for disaster.  Add to the chaos, the first day of school was on a Friday.  So he started Friday the 5th.  Everything went ok.  We had a busy weekend with people over on Saturday.  Tommy was crazy both Saturday and Sunday.  Definitely not the way to start the week for him.  So Monday he goes to school and about 2 hours in I get a call from the vice principal.  He was growling at them, telling them no, and crawling on the floor.  They didn’t know what to do with him or how to handle him.  Thankfully there was only 20 minutes left of school so they sent him home.  I had a serious talk with him.  It took me an hour to get him to listen to me.  I had to take away all toys, tv, games, etc.  He also had to spend some time in time out for his smart mouth.  The next morning I wrote long note to his teacher.  And I was also on the phone with the case manager to find out if he had his own aide.  He doesn’t, but they are still looking.  Tuesday only went marginally better.  Apparently he was running around.  I got a call from the case manager and we set up an appointment to reevaluate his IEP for next Thursday.  I also got a call from his teacher.  She is going to try some other things with hime.  I’m guessing Wednesday and Thursday have gone better.  He hasn’t reported any difficulties to me, no calls from the school, and no notes home.
